We are currently seeking to add a statistician to our Board of Directors, so this is your chance to serve as a key opinion leader in the field of Reiki research and foster the acceptance of Reiki biofield therapy as an integrative healthcare practice.

The independent, not-for-profit Center for Reiki Research (CRR) promotes the scientific awareness of Reiki by conducting quality research and providing an updated archive and summary of all evidence-based Reiki research published in peer-reviewed journals. The business efforts of the CRR Board are conducted in English. The Board has an overall responsibility for administering the affairs of the organization and providing the strategic direction to guide CRR’s success as the go-to provider of the current state of Reiki research to the public and the scientific communities.

The following information may help when considering whether to let your name stand for nomination to the Board of Directors. Individuals may self-nominate.

Time Commitment
The volunteer Board meets monthly via a one-hour Zoom meeting. In addition, directors review and/or summarize peer-reviewed Reiki research papers, participate in the annual International Reiki Research Conference, and coordinate and/or participate in one 30-minute webinar. The statistician will be responsible for determining whether statistical methods are appropriate in published Reiki studies, as well as determining the appropriate statistical design and analysis approach for Reiki research conducted by the CRR. Experience with a range of study designs, including feasibility, observational, pragmatic, RCTs, and qualitative designs is preferred.

Term of Appointment
Directors are appointed for an initial term of one year, which can be renewed at the board’s discretion.
